As a fourth-generation Santa Rosan with strong ties to both Santa Rosa and North Okaloosa County, Shon is keenly aware of the unique challenges our community faces, from the rural farming areas in the north to the rapidly expanding communities in the south—and everywhere in between.

Shon is a business owner and operates multiple businesses in the area including continuing his Grandparent's vision in the hardware business with Pittman Building Supply. He has 23 years of experience as a business owner, with many of those years owning businesses in multiple industries, and currently employs over 140 people.

 

Raised in Jay, Shon served on the City Council for 15 years, including 7 years as Mayor. During his tenure, he cultivated relationships with state representatives and senators to secure funding for several critical projects in the northern part of Santa Rosa County. Additionally, he collaborated with County Commissioners to amend the land development code, promoting stricter flood control measures to minimize environmental impacts. Currently, he is engaged with commissioners to further enhance the land development code and its implications for rural areas.

Shon’s extensive experience in local government and his deep understanding of our community's needs make him the ideal candidate for State Representative, District 3. He is committed to advocating for the priorities of our residents, ensuring that our unique challenges are addressed with effective solutions and strong leadership. With a proven track record of collaboration and community engagement, Shon is prepared to represent the District 3 voices in Tallahassee.
